Please note this is a 2 day workshop.
Embark on a transformative workshop led by the internationally renowned Jack Troy, designed to challenge conventional approaches to clay and pottery. Explore the art of throwing completely enclosed forms and shaping them into organic and geometric designs, blurring the lines between sculpture and functionality. Through a process of discovery and manipulation, participants will scuff and "chase" the clay around its supporting air pocket, creating objects with varying tones and textures. This method enhances the internal space of each piece, promising a unique experience and subtle movement once fired. This dynamic class offers a memorable opportunity to expand your creative horizons, fostering a more original and diverse artistic vocabulary.
